Cooper is a lawyer and workplace investigator at Williams HR Law, where he practices in all areas of labour, employment, and human rights law. Cooper advises and represents employers on a broad range of issues including employment agreements, employment standards, wrongful dismissal litigation, discipline and termination, human rights and accommodation, attendance and disability management, grievance arbitration, collective bargaining, collective agreement administration, labour board proceedings, privacy, workplace safety and insurance, and workplace investigations.
Cooper also conducts workplace investigations and workplace culture reviews as a third-party investigator for organizations in a variety of industries including not-for-profit, education, financial services, childcare, ecommerce, professional services, information technology, and municipal.
Cooper is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School at York University and was a recipient of the Charles Edward Woodrow Award for demonstrating academic achievement. During his 3rd year in law school, Cooper volunteered with the Centre for Human Rights, Equity and Inclusion and conducted legal research on behalf of the Case Resolution Services team. He previously attended Toronto Metropolitan University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Sociology in 2020. Cooper was named the Outstanding Graduating Sociology Student in his graduating class.
Outside of law, Cooper has been featured in numerous publications as a Freelance Journalist. Cooper previously volunteered as a Performance Analyst and Advanced Scout with the TMU Bold Women’s Varsity Basketball team, as well as with Canada Basketball’s High-Performance Program.
In his spare time, Cooper enjoys taking his dog on hikes and avidly supporting the Toronto Raptors.
