BIOGRAPHY
Oliver is an articling student at Williams HR Law, where he supports our clients in all areas of labour, employment and human rights law, and in conducting workplace investigations and reviews. He helps provide strategic advice to both unionized and non-union employers on a variety of issues, including employment agreements and policies, accommodation and disability management, terminations, occupational health and safety, wrongful dismissal and constructive dismissal litigation, collective bargaining, and workplace investigations and reviews.
Oliver recently graduated from the Western University Faculty of Law. During his time at Western Law, Oliver was Co-Chair for the East Asian Law Students Society and an executive member of the Western Law Equality Team, where he organized initiatives aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion discourse, including an event highlighting the history of laws within Canada that have impacted access to justice for marginalized groups. He also volunteered for the National Canadian Lawyer’s Initiative, where he gained legal research experience through researching relevant policies and case law to help assist individuals regarding employment law issues.
Prior to studying law, Oliver earned an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University. As an undergraduate student, he participated in an international exchange at Nagoya University in Japan. He also worked as a business analyst for a global automotive company as part of his internship program.
In his spare time, Oliver enjoys staying active by playing golf, tennis and going to the gym.
